Therapy

Faster healing. Lasting change. Real relief.

ART is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you rewire how painful memories, trauma, and distressing images are stored in your brain — often in just 1 to 5 sessions. No homework. No reliving the past in detail. Just real, lasting relief.

Your brain can unlearn the pain

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a cutting-edge, evidence-based treatment developed by Laney Rosenzweig. It combines elements of several effective therapies — including eye movement desensitization (like EMDR) — and uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess distressing images and memories.

What makes ART unique is that you don't have to talk through your trauma in detail. The therapist guides your eye movements while you keep the difficult memory in mind — and over the course of the session, the emotional charge attached to it begins to lift. Many people describe leaving sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and genuinely different.

"You keep the memory, but lose the pain. That's the magic of ART."

It's not magic, though — it's neuroscience. ART works with your brain's natural ability to heal, and Dr. Crabb guides you through the process with the same warmth, cultural attunement, and judgment-free care that defines all of Soul Works.

If you're carrying something heavy,
ART was made for you

Whether it's childhood trauma, relationship trauma, sexual assault, accidents, or loss — ART helps you process what happened without having to relive it in detail.

ART was built with you in mind. It's structured, time-limited, and results-focused — proven effective for combat-related PTSD and the weight that comes with service.

That fear that hijacks you out of nowhere. The places you avoid. The "what ifs" that won't stop. ART gets to the root image driving the anxiety and rewires it.

Unwanted thoughts that replay on a loop, images that pop up without warning — ART helps neutralize the emotional power these thoughts hold over you.

Reacting "bigger than the moment" — going from 0 to 100 before you even realize it. ART can reduce your reactivity by healing the wound underneath the trigger.

When grief lingers longer than expected, or feels complicated, unresolved, or tangled with guilt — ART offers a path through without demanding you explain everything.

Come as you are.
Leave lighter.

  • No homework required

The work happens in the room. You don't need to journal, practice anything, or revisit the issue between sessions.

  • You stay in control

You never have to share more than you're comfortable with. Your privacy is respected throughout the entire process.

  • Most sessions last 60–75 minutes

ART sessions tend to run slightly longer than traditional therapy to allow for the full protocol and integration time.

  • Results are often felt immediately

Many clients notice a shift in how they feel about the issue by the end of the first session. That doesn't mean the work is done — but it means it's working.

  • Culturally informed, judgment-free

Dr. Crabb brings her full clinical expertise and cultural awareness to every session. You won't have to explain yourself or your community to be understood.

"Healing doesn't have to take forever. ART was built to work with the way your nervous system actually functions — so relief doesn't have to be a distant goal."

They share some similarities — both use eye movements — but ART is its own distinct approach. ART is generally faster, more structured, and doesn't require you to discuss the details of your trauma. Many people who've tried EMDR find ART to be a different (and for some, more comfortable) experience.

Not in detail. That's one of the biggest reasons people choose ART. You can keep the contents of your experience private — Dr. Crabb doesn't need to know everything to help you heal from it.

Most people experience significant relief within 1 to 5 sessions. Some issues can be resolved in a single session. More complex or layered trauma may take more time — but even then, progress tends to come faster than with traditional talk therapy.

ART is offered as a standalone, out-of-pocket service. While insurance is not billed directly, a superbill can be provided upon request for potential reimbursement depending on your plan. Contact us for more information.

Absolutely. ART can be used as a standalone intervention or alongside your existing therapy. Many people use it to address a specific issue while continuing their regular therapeutic work with another provider.

That's completely fair — and honestly, healthy. Start with the free 15-minute consult. Dr. Crabb will answer your questions honestly, explain how ART works, and help you decide if it's the right fit. No pressure, no hard sell.
